Sachets

Custom cosmetic sachets and stick packs

We make your cream, gel or serum and pack it in single-dose sachets or stick packs printed with your brand. They are the samples that let people try your product, and the same formula can also go into tubes or bottles for retail: one supplier for the whole line, made in Italy.

Single-dose sachets and a stick pack next to a cream tube

What are cosmetic sachets?

A cosmetic sachet is a small, flexible, heat-sealed pack holding the dose for one or a few applications, usually 1 to 10 ml. A stick pack is a long, narrow sachet that is easy to open and to dose. They are mainly used as custom cosmetic samples: customers try the formula without buying the full size.

Why choose single-dose sachets

  • Low-cost sampling: a sachet costs far less than a mini tube and weighs a few grams, so you can give them away in large numbers.
  • Selling the full size: people who have tried the sample already know how the cream or gel works. That is why the same formula also goes into a tube or bottle.
  • Hygiene: every dose is sealed and used once, with no contact with air or fingers.
  • Travel: no leaks, no glass, no trouble with liquids on flights.
  • Shipping: sachets fit in a letter or an e-commerce parcel without adding weight.

Formula, sachet and tube from one supplier

Most sachet packers fill a product the customer must already have. We start from the formula:

  1. Formula: choose one of our ready formulas or we develop a custom one in our laboratory in Pomezia, near Rome.
  2. Bulk production: we make the product under GMP ISO 22716 and test it before packing.
  3. Sachets and stick packs: we pack the bulk into single-dose sachets or stick packs printed with your brand, in the format you chose.
  4. Tubes and bottles: we fill the same formula into the retail sizes, with the same artwork.

You have one project manager and one quote for samples and retail products, and the sample formula is identical to the one your customers buy.

Formats: sachets, stick packs and spouted pouches

Classic single-dose sachet

Square or rectangular, the most common format for cream, gel and serum samples. It is the most economical option.

Stick pack

Long and narrow, it tears open and doses by squeezing. Widely used for gels, serums and products applied in small amounts.

Shaped and joined sachets

Sachets in distinctive shapes, or two or three sachets joined together, for example for a multi-step routine (cleanser, serum, cream).

Sachets with a spout or cap

For larger doses or several uses: the pouch can be closed again. Stand-up versions are also available.

Sachets on cards

The sachet is glued onto a printed card or leaflet: a sample to insert in magazines and online orders or to hand out in shops.

Easy-open tear notches and several capacities are also available. Your project manager suggests the right format for your formula and use.

Materials and printing

Sachets are made of several thin laminated layers, chosen to suit the formula:

  • With aluminium: the highest protection from air, light and moisture, for delicate formulas and good shelf life.
  • With paper: a more natural look, with the protection of an inner aluminium layer.
  • Transparent: the product shows through the sachet.

Printing goes up to 8 colours, with gloss, metallic or foil finishes. Our in-house designers prepare the artwork and check the mandatory information: even a sample needs the product name, INCI ingredients, batch number and responsible person, within the space available. See graphic design and labels.

What we put in sachets

  • Gels: face and body gels, aloe gels, soothing gels. See cosmetic gel manufacturing.
  • Creams: face, hand and body creams. See cream manufacturing.
  • Serums: fluid face serums, ideal in stick packs.
  • Oils: body and massage oils, in aluminium sachets or stick packs.
  • Cleansers: cleansing gels and hygiene products, also as travel sets.

Before confirming, we check that the formula is compatible with the sachet material and the seal.

Who sachets are for

Sachets are printed on reels, which is why the minimum is higher than for tubes. For small doses such as 5 ml, orders start at about 5,000–10,000 units. Overall timing depends mainly on the formula: a ready formula is produced quickly, while a custom formula needs development first.

Quality and compliance

We make the bulk in our plant in Pomezia, Italy, under GMP ISO 22716 with an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system. Every batch is tested before packing and traced with a batch code that also follows the sachets. Samples are cosmetic products too: we handle the EU CPNP notification, and for the UK the SCPN notification is arranged through our partners. See EU and UK compliance.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom cosmetic sachets?

It depends on the format. For small sachets of around 5 ml, the minimum is about 5,000–10,000 units, because sachets are printed and formed from a reel. Tubes and bottles of the same formula start at 500 units per SKU.

How long does it take to get the sachets?

Packing into sachets usually takes about one week once the product is ready. Overall timing depends on the formula: faster with one of our ready formulas, longer if the formula is developed from scratch.

What is the difference between a sachet and a stick pack?

A sachet is square or rectangular and is the most economical format. A stick pack is long and narrow, tears open and doses more precisely: it is widely used for gels and serums.

Can you put a formula I already have into sachets?

We work with bulk we make ourselves, so we control quality, batch and documents. If you already have a formula, we can look at an equivalent one with you or develop a new one.

Do sachet samples need the same compliance as retail products?

Yes. A sample is a cosmetic product: it needs notification (CPNP in the EU), a safety assessment and a label with the mandatory information, within the space on the sachet. We take care of this together with the artwork.

Can sachets and tubes share the same artwork?

Yes. Our designers adapt your brand to every format, so the sample and the retail product are instantly recognisable.
