Contract-made creams: what working with us means

A cream is an emulsion: water and oils combined in a stable way, so the product stays smooth and consistent throughout its life. Getting it right means choosing the ingredients, but also controlling the process, long-term stability and compatibility with the container.

In our plant in Pomezia, near Rome, we handle every step: the formula in our R&D laboratory, production, filling and packing. You can choose private label, one of our ready formulas under your brand, or contract manufacturing of a new formula, exclusive to you if you wish.

Textures: from fluid lotion to rich cream

The same cream can feel very different depending on how we build it. We help you choose the right feel for your customers:

• Fluid emulsion: light and quick to spread, suited to pump bottles and large areas of skin
• Soft cream: the most versatile texture, for face and hands
• Rich cream: more nourishing and dense, for dry skin, feet and night treatments
• Gel-cream: halfway between a gel and a cream, fresh yet hydrating

We also choose the fragrance with you, or leave it out altogether for sensitive skin. If you want a lighter product, have a look at our cosmetic gels.

Example formulations

These examples are deliberately general: ingredients and percentages are defined with our lab according to the result you want and your retail price.

• Hydrating face cream: a light emulsion with humectants (ingredients that hold water in the skin) and plant oils that don’t feel greasy
• Nourishing body cream: plant butters and oils in a richer base, for dry skin
• Hand cream: a fast-absorbing texture that leaves hands non-greasy, with protective ingredients
• Foot cream: a rich base with emollient ingredients and a cooling effect
• Face cream for sensitive skin: few ingredients, no fragrance, designed to undergo tolerance testing

A cream needs the right container: its texture determines how the product comes out and how well it is protected from air.

Claims, testing and quality

A cream sells better when the label says what it does. Claims such as “hydrating” or “dermatologically tested” must be backed by evidence, as the EU and UK cosmetics rules require. We entrust the tests to external labs chosen according to the claim, for a neutral assessment, and agree them with you before we start.

Every batch is tested by our in-house lab and by external accredited labs, including for heavy metals, and carries a code that makes it traceable. We produce according to GMP (ISO 22716) and are ISO 9001:2015 certified. Details are on our quality and certifications page.
